It is about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) west of Makena State Park and south of MaŹ»alaea Bay. It is a popular tourist destination for scuba diving, snuba and snorkeling. Should You Use "dived" Or "dove"?
But since it’s the dive itself you want, just make sure whatever you do covers all the bases. First timers will want to avoid this until they’ve got a few divers under their belt. But if you do have the skill, it’s an underrated location. Known as Smudges, you can book a dive up at Baranof Island dive site to hit the water with some moon jellyfish. This is accessible only by boat, so you won’t be driving up here on your own for a day trip.
Look but don't touch, be it the bottom, coral, marine life or wrecks.
